Spotify is a Swedish media company that provides audio streaming services, launched back in 2008.
Spotify Headquarters are in Stockholm and Sweden and was founded by Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon.
This Music Distributor Company has become a massive market in audio streaming services, just like Netflix, a video streaming website.
Recently Via Twitter, Spotify announced its official launch in new 80 countries, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, etc.
According to Spotify, launching in 80+ countries could add a billion users to use Spotify.

How to use Spotify in Pakistan?
You must have heard that Spotify is not free and charges from users.
No, Spotify is free and available for everyone.
All you need to do is download the Spotify App from APP Store(IOS Users) or download it from Play Store if you are an Android user.
When downloading is done, you need to create an account by clicking the signup button.
Just fill up your info in the signup form, and you’re done; you can use Spotify for Free.
The free plan is limited, Spotify free can skip only six songs in a day, and the songs will play randomly from the selected playlist, and you will experience ads on your screen as well as in your years.
There are premium plans that will get us rid of these limitations.
Spotify Premium Plans:
Spotify has four premium subscription plans in Pakistan, and they are pretty much cheap if we compare them with other countries.
One of the plans is the Student Plan which is the cheapest of all, as you would see in the picture below.
How to get Student Discount from Spotify in Pakistan:
Student Discount is one of the cheapest plans, and it requires only 145PKR per month to purchase a subscription for a year.
For a single month, Spotify Student Discount is about 165PKR, which is still the best deal.
Spotify strictly provides this plan only to the students only.
Things you need to purchase a Spotify Student Discount are Student Card or Tuition Fee Voucher, or a result card.
If you have one of these documents in hand, then you are ready to go.
You need to submit specific information enough for Spotify to confirm your eligibility to get the student package.
This covers your name, legitimate educational institution, email address, date of birth, and other documents, as well as your payment details.

Follow these steps to verify your account as a Spotify student account.

First, go to the Spotify Student Discount page and sign up using your email and type your password.

Now you need to verify that you are a student; again, add your details like country, phone number, and institute name (Make sure that you have selected the right institute).
- Time Required:
After that, upload one of your documents, and click on verify, then they will send you a confirmation mail; usually, it takes a couple of minutes, and in some cases, it may take up to 3 business days.

You just have to keep checking your mails and don’t forget to look in your mail’s spam folder, sometimes emails can be identified as spam, but for Spotify, it is rare.

Once you are verified as a student, you need to click on Get Discount from the mail you have received from Spotify.
- Amount need to Pay:
Spotify will direct you to the “verified account” page, and then you can select any the plan as you want, remember you will get 145PKR a month if you buy subscriptions for a year, and for a single month, it will cost you 165PKR.
- Add Pay details:
Add your card details, or you can pay via Zong or Telenor operator; you should have at least a 145PKR balance or credit in your SIM and vice versa.
That is it! Now you can download any song or play any music from Spotify.
How many devices can you use in Spotify?
Spotify is only for personal usage and therefore every person should have their own account. According to the T&C’s account holders must also be aged 13 or older.
Spotify Premium account can be used on multiple devices but can only play a song on a single device at a time.
